This saw is a spare that I will never use, I got it seized and soaked it for 4 days breaking it free. Was a little rough at first but the bottom end has smoothed out and is tight. I got some pics of some repairs I did to get it to the way it is. These are after I had already broke it free and ran a bunch of fuel through it. You will see in the pics the dawg bolts are 6mm instead of 5. It had no dawgs on it when i got it and the holes had already been tapped by someone in the past so I just drilled the spike to take the larger bolt.
Starting with the oiler which had seized and cooked the worm gear. I have a bunch of spare parts on hand so in goes used oiler and worm gear.
Nubs on worm gear installed are worn but functional. It's all I had handy.
Little bit of silicone grease on the worm gear and installed
Little bit of moly for the drum bearing.
Here's a pic of the clutch cover I had for it. Cracked but it works
No damage on the recoil side except a chipped tooth on the pulley. This isn't even noticed as the pulley grabs both pawls at same time. Again, what I had for it.
I thought I got more pics of the muffler removal. One screw was round so I drilled the head off the get it off. After that the stud turned out easy. Here's the only hole in the muffler. I could have zapped it closed but the welders put away so another day.
After drilling the head off the old bolt a piece of the head was still stuck in the muffler and difficult to remove. Worked out perfect cause now I don't have to cut the bolt I have for it lol
Little bit of loctite on the screws
Done but not before a piston pic
I will edit any screw ups on the computer in a few here. I'm not quite sure what to ask for it yet but I will think about it and price it this evening.
