ID this tree please

Unfortunately I couldn't get a closer shot of the leaves, but they're pale green. Very tall tree.

Its very hard for me to tell what the leaves and catkins look like.

I am guessing ash

Since that's a pic of the base, I'll say silver or red maple. I'm not sure the catkins are from this tree or another one in the foreground. Leave pics would seal the ID...

I'll hazard a guess at Sugar Maple but could be Basswood.

You could just cut it down and get us shots of the wood grain and leaves

Bark looks like elm but the branching structure doesn't.

The first pic resembles a mature Pignut Hickory to me, though it is a little out of focus. I do see a small poison ivy vine growing on the trunk though.
