I reset the carb to what it was set at prior to cleaning the carb, switching out gaskets etc. and installing a new fuel filter and fuel line.

Now that it's freshened up the settings it had seem to be way off.

If someone knows what the initial settings should be on this saw that'd be great!

Can a rookie set the high speed without a tach?

Thanks for any info.

on my 61 manual it says to start but tightening both H and L all the way in, then backing it out one turn.

thanks for the replies guys

I'll get busy reading it all now! Cheers! Yes, after rebuilding the carb it rev'd right up just bogs when you hit the gas, so I'll start over with this new information and let you guys know how it goes.

the 1983 husky manual looks like chinese, definitely not a compatible format. the jonsered manual is priceless--great stuff. I'll re-read that jonsered info a few more times.

This is great stuff! Thanks again!

Its a PDF. Your browser isn't realizing that.
Right click, save as, put it on your desktop, then open it.
If your system has adobe reader it should be the default for PDF's and open.
