Insurance work

How does it work?
If a tree falls on a deck for example, do you bill the insurance company or the homeowner? Also if you remove it do you need to take pics for the insurance company?

And if a storm knocks a tree over in a homeownersmall yard can the insurance company be charged?
Basically I have no idea how any of it works lol

I have contracted with and billed homeowners directly. the insurance company is responsible to them.

Unless the insurance company contacts you directly and contracts you to do the work. Then the insurance Co will pay you directly
