I did a search for street legal and they are only legal in about half the states. Some states only allow them on roads with a speed limit of 25 or 35 MPH. With a top speed of 55 mph most states don't let them on the high ways. They won't meet crash tests. I have a friend that built a front engine dragster and put the required stuff on it and got tags. I guess the requirements are different for a home built car and mass produced ones, Joe.
