I was doing some reading on another site and one guy mentioned this stuff, Loctite 380 Black Max. I found some on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...e+Black+Max&rh=n:16310091,k:Loctite+Black+Max).

The context was those annoying fuel lines that go straight into the tank of handheld trimmers, etc. that tend to leak/seep fuel. Here's what that guy said:

Loc-tite 380 Black Max. The ultimate answer for fuel line headaches. McCulloch started sending this out with some of their fuel line kits back in the day. It will seal up space between the fuel line and tank. It is not harmed by fuel and will remain flexible.

We have used it for years and don't know of anything else like it. Not cheap but the cost can be passed along. We have used it to save some equipment where the original line size is no longer available. The only caution with this stuff is that it has to be kept refridgerated or it will harden up in the bottle.

Anyone have any experience with this stuff or know of similar products that seal under gas/oil conditions?

Sometimes the hole is messed up and needs re drilled to clean it up. You can use the next size up on fuel line to do it. But you may need to use a piece of smaller fuel line over the carb nipple as a grommet to make the larger line fit tight.
