I don't know of anywhere near you, but maybe a more southern local would make a nice getaway this time of year? Atlanta has a good school....

Also try taking a dive into the TCC web site, there's a good collection of articles, book lists, a forum etc. etc.

If traveling to an instructor or course isn't an option start looking for a climber who can mentor you in your area. If you can get together every once in awhile for a weekend climb it will go a long way getting you started.
