Hello All, and thanks in advance for any assistance. This is my mature Maple tree and it seems to be dying from the top down. The leaves have brown discoloration spots followed by the death of each branch. Attached are some pics and I would appreciate any help you can offer. Hoping this is something other than Maple Wilt. The last pic is of a cut branch.

i've got one, a maple that's bout 40-50'tall, that the top 2/3 is dead and no leaves anywhere till about june when we had massive amounts of rain, a bunch of new shoots and leaves popped out at about bottom 1/3 of tree. I'm just gonna take it down this fall. it's easy to get to and I can use the firewood.

So is there anything, besides taking it down, that can be done?
