I'm trying to get auto chain oiler working, I've cleaned the oil pump, all the oil passages tried adjusting it, but it still wont pump.
Would it be the diaghphram? is it common for those to fail?

The PM610 oiler is of the pulse variety. It uses crankcase pulses to operate much like the carb does to pump fuel. There is an adjuster screw at the top of the pump

Does the manual oiler still work? If so, then likely the diaphragm is shot.

I replaced the pump on mine last summer. I dunno if just the diaphragm is available, but had no problem finding a complete NOS pump.

Make sure the pulse passage is clear

The hole that runs into the case can get plugged.

And there are many complete pumps still around NOS

The manual pump still works, the crankcase hole is clear, not much else inside the pump so I'll try and get a new diaphragm, but I'll probably have to buy a complete pump.

AFAIK the diaphrams are not available separately.

One of my 610's had a stuck check valve inside the oil pump, non-serviceable. NOS pumps are about $25. Maybe one of the sponsors will chime in for one, there's always Fleabay, or PM me for the shop where I get my 610 parts.
