You and I sure seem to think a lot a like. After Big Dave did 4 or 5 larger saws for me, we had a discussion. I thought it would be cool to have a small, light woods ported saw not just another fire breathing big one. so, I had him do my 401. Kinda did it as a goof however, I love it and it is a ton of fun to run.

Here is my "baby 9010"

I've ran mikes little 401, it's a screaming light firewood saw for sure.

Here's Mike and his saw this past spring.

It's somewhere in the neighborhood of 12,500.(Give or take 1000)
I don't own a tach (Hope you hear that Santa!) so I don't know for sure but it is a really mad Fox Terrier on steroids!

Mike
Almost sounds faster. Mine is running slow then, I estimate 11,500 or less. I compared it to Jonsered 2050...it seems quite slower.

Hey Mikey, I hear you got a new saw yesterday:clap:

Yes!

A Santa dressed in black and one of his very best elves dropped by my local Dolmar dealer yesterday and gave me a BIG surprise!!

Well,

I guess it's time to update this thread.
I have been wanting to get this Snellerized 9010 in some wood since I got it back but as we all know..."sometimes life gets in the way"!
I have been working 'til dark practically every day, deer hunting and butchering and watching it rain.
Except for today!

The good folks I work for saw fit to get me out of the plant at just after 2:30 and I picked up a few gallons of gas for the generator (since we are supposed to have a snow and ice storm) and came home to try my big Dollie out.

All I can say is.................WOW!!!
The transformation in this saw has been nothing short of miraculous!
I was impressed with it as a stock saw, but I travel in some pretty tough circles with people like Brad, Andyshine77, Gink595, Wild Knight, Erick and Haywire Haywood so I figured I would try to optimize what the Dolmar factory gave me and have it Snellerized.
I put it into some really hard maple tonight and it was amazing!
You have REALLY got to try hard to bog this saw and it just screams.

As Brad stated earlier, it needs a bit of chain work, but I think it is significantly stronger in wood up to 32" than my 084!
The videos that Brad posted of this saw do NOT do it justice!!!
I can't wait to get to a couple of GTGs this year and see just how it really stacks up against the comparable offerings from Husky and Stihl.

I will try to get the chain working as well as the saw, and get some video up asap.
