Modding a Dolmar PS9010: Video

9010 chain.

What chain are you running, and how bad is it stretching? I was tuning on mine today and I bet it stretched a 1/4 inch in 5 mins or so and it has yet to touch wood. I was adjusting the low side so it was mostly at idle or high idle with the trigger lock on. A few good wide open raps to clear it out after each adjustment. I assume the torque of the saw is causing this?

I'll have to check about the chain, it is either Oregon or Windsor.
They will all stretch a little in the first few minutes and the longer it is (naturally) the more it will stretch.
Mine is a 32" and 1/4 inch would seem about right.

Thanks, it just surprised me that much stretching under no load. I am thinking about going to a stihl chain.

It takes so long to sharpen the darn stuff that I get a good long break!!!
