Are there any moded mufflers for the Dolmar 5100 all rready to bolt on; for sale?
i too would like some info on this!!!!:greenchainsaw:
Looks like there's a burgeoning market for modified Dolmar mufflers.
I have a brand new one, in case anyone hacks there's up too much.....
Maybe I should mod it and sell it to get my money back....lol
Yeah I am also lookin for a mod'd muffler... or even a way to do it myself. I want somethin that looks fairly original if poss but just a mod or some pics of one with a good idea on how big/where to cut?
I thought they were the cats meow
That's like buying an 08 Z28 camaro and not wanting more power... It would make no sense! more power = less time cutting in saw terms!
Well then, you opt out on the z28 and shoot strait for the saleen
Mine just has a couple 3/8 holes drilled in it. Sounds great and has great power in the cut. Someday I will put ports on it, maybe.
He wants quality, like a Stihl, like a Camaro.
Here's the job I did on my 5100. 5/8" hole, ground a washer to fit. Super easy, and I can replace the screen. Runs great, too.
Camaro is junk when compared to saleen
LOL, how many Saleen's you got?
The cheaper models are way over priced, not many performance mods at all, just some ground effects and stickers. The supercharged 351s were the best made, looked good and ran the same.
I would like to have a 351 Saleen.
Then trade it for a 08 ZO6!!!!
I need a modded muffler and cannot weld.Anyone selling one ? Let me know....... Well it actually is for a friend and he has fewer computer skills than me......
Looks nice, and more imortantly, simple. I was considering something similar and have access to a welder (and someone who can use it! ). It looks you used screws, not welds. Do you think this will be an issue (other than aesthetically)?
Did you change anything internally?
How much did you have to adjust the high speed idle?
Did you have to adjust past the limiter cap?
Did you use a tach or just your ear?
I don't think he will be answering you anytime soon - he is out falling timber in the CA wildfires
