I have twice ordered the little red plastic support ring that goes in the mouth of a 357XP intake bellows. Both times I have received a muffler bracket. The PN on the package is correct. Can someone tell me what model this bracket comes from? BTW, the parts were ordered from Jacks Small Engines. I have ordered this same part from them several times before without issue.

503535901 support bracket if HiOctane is correct. The first two and last two numbers match, the rest is inmaterial. :D I have a 272 if you need measurements to check.

268 (1993-09)
268 (1997-01)
268 K (1997-01)
272 (1993-01)
272 K (1997-01)
272 S (1995-12)
272 S (1997-01)
272 XP (1997-01)
61 (1993-09)
61 (1997-01)

I was wondering in Husqvarna accidentally duplicated the part number. But per two Husqvarna 272 IPLs, 1997-2001, & 2009, the bracket part # is 503 53 59-01.

Brad, per the Husky 357XP for 2004-2005 the part your wanting is listed as 503 92 88-01. Per the 2010 IPL it's 504 06 44-01. I don't know it this helps, or further muddies the water.

My quess is someone used the incorrect package, apparently at least twice.

cs-400 ...not an easy saw to mod, but supposedly if you open up the muffler it helps A LOT. I didn't touch the muffler on the one I did, but it is quite restricted. I liked the cs-400 for a number of reasons, but the power was quite lacking. just fyi

yes, brads 340/346xp looks hot and minty fresh.
