I see an old thread on here about burning eastern Redbud. Just wanted confirmation that it makes decent firewood. I don't heat with wood but I have a couple of pieces of Redbud to get rid of. I was thinking I would give the pieces to a nieghboor who has a fire on a chilly evenings. I think he would be glad for almost any wood. Almost.

Definitely decent wood to burn. I'd burn it quick as a wink if a nice neighbor offered to dump some in my driveway!

As long as it does not fall apart when moving it, it gets burned at my house. Ideally I would like all good wood, but that's not reality. So some other stuff gets in the pile and it makes heat too. I definitely would not target it though....
