I hope it's good, and not another Ice Road Truckers. That seemed more like a soap opera than anything else.

I'm sure their saws don't need oil. They are Oregon loggers, you know. :) My tv guide says it is on 4 times tonight starting at 7. If this is true, I know I'll stay awake for it. Maybe I'll find out why that tree has a blue W on it. Do they have to cut and leave perfectly good trees for critters too?

I'm on Rogers cable in Toronto and History channel has the second hour of Iwo Jima movie. I scanned History channels schedule to 8 am Monday and nothing shows up. If anyone has info on Canadian schedule, please post.

Well, I watched it and felt like yelling at the one crew. Why didn't they have their carriage tied off to the tube when they were walking the Madill up the road? Looked like they were dragging it along which is not good for a motorized carriage. That was the Pihl crew, which was most like the small gypo outfits around here. Also, the helicopter would most likely hit the disconnect switch dropping the lines before "Plummeting to the ground."
Other than the narration, pretty realistic so far. It is strange to see stumpholds without twisters hooked to them and roads that aren't rocked.
The grumbling of the chaser who had to go back in the brush was normal. Just couldn't stand the carriage abuse. :bang:

Our yarder is a lot smaller, so is its carriage. Not even motorized. What is a twister?

I saw all Husky saws, no Stihls. I saw 2 guys I have met at various times up around Vernonia.

It was on Direct TV here at 7pm and again at 8pm, and its on again at 11pm. Pacific daylight time.

I did not see anything on the show that I have not seen here within 10 minutes drive of this place. I hear and see cable yarding going on most days here, except this year there have been a lot of no noise days. The narrator seems to make things sound more hurried and rushed than they are, and make things sound more dangerous. I am surprised that they did not mention the cost of the helicopter, by the minute. Its really spendy to run them around here. I used to see them a lot. Not lately, except to spray.

Amusing though. My buddies in Vernonia are all thrilled with tonight's airing.
