passed a load of of approx. 6" x 12" x 20' beams on a semi today, pretty certain they were sassafras but I have never heard of a market for such thing. Any speculation on their intended end use? Still had some included bark so it wasnuttin' fancy
Someone could cut them into 1 inch thick boards for a cabin floor, since the wood is supposed to repel insects.passed a load of of approx. 6" x 12" x 20' beams on a semi today, pretty certain they were sassafras but I have never heard of a market for such thing. Wider than rail ties and I would think that sassafras splits too easy? Oil rig pads or mine timbers but we do not have a whole lot of either one going on here!Railroad ties maybe.
