sassafras beams?

passed a load of of approx. 6" x 12" x 20' beams on a semi today, pretty certain they were sassafras but I have never heard of a market for such thing. Any speculation on their intended end use? Still had some included bark so it wasnuttin' fancy

Someone could cut them into 1 inch thick boards for a cabin floor, since the wood is supposed to repel insects.
