image.jpg Plastic containered(surely),volcano mulched planting...years later.Beyond repair (root pruning)isn't it? I don't know if it's even worth taking a stab at, the roots are packed & wrapped almost as high as the mulch.

I'm thinking just remove this top one, and not even attempt to air spade out the others because they are apt to be too mangled...
Thoughts?

Rain, do u think this tree is worth trying to air spade-root collar excavation, to assess & primarily root prune, to save...or is they're probably too many girdling roots already to make a difference

Went ahead and cut 3 girdlers....Thought it worth a shot of giving 20 mins, as apposed to a full blown out root collar exc., and maybe it'll pull out by some chance....
Thx for the help.

Not a leaf left on it now.

Surely it had to be SGR's (?), the other one next to it looks just fine.

Been steadily losing leaves for 3 full months. It's history. Wish I could've saved it.
