Shindaiwa 488P

Hi all, ive just done up a 488P and need some help, it appears theres a pipe missing that would go from the front of the carb to the aircleaner base plate? I cant seem to find it in parts catalogues. I have a 577P and 2x 757P that have a pipe.. im wondering what the 488P should have..

Hey Alderman, thanks for the reply thats the pulse pipe for fuel..
I was actually meaning something like the below part number, its the elbow that connects the carb to the air filter on a 757.. wondering what the 488P should have?

Hi Harley T, the carb that is on the 488P is correct.

I was only using that part number to identify what im thinking a 488P should have but seems to be missing

Can you snap a pic of your carb? Does your carb have the fitting on the metering cover?

Sorry the pipe i think is missing it has nothing to do with fuel.

I believe there is a pipe missing that delivers filtered air....it would connect the front of the carb to the airfilter base plate. Currently there is no pipe therefore unfiltered air is going into the carb. The part number I posted is what the 577/757 has.

The gaskets look like a Walbro HD carb, hard to tell from the ipl though.
Is it?

Does it look like the one off of a ms290?

I believe it is a hard plastic snorkel piece.
