OK, so this might be a stupid question, but is there a difference between the Stihl MS290 Farmboss and the Stihl USA website MS 290 STIHL FARM BOSS® - Powerful Mid-Range Chain Saw | STIHL and the Stihl MS290 from the German website MS 290 - Bewährt zuverlässige 3,0kW-Benzinmotorsäge ?

I'm assuming that they might be manufactured in different countries. Or maybe they're the same but one has the words Farm Boss printed on it? Is one better manufactured than the other?

Farm Boss is a USA marketing term.

That said, sometimes similar saws made for different countries come with different carbs, ignitions, or other minor variations, etc. The quality should be the same. Note that if you go to the trouble of trying to import a German made saw and end up with problems, you might have trouble with the warranty, or obtaining any parts that are different from the model sold in the USofA.
