I have tried the heat method, and if yiou are lucky, it will work.
If not, I sell the crancases in the lobby.....
But it is obvious, that the problem lies there....

This is exactly what I bought this saw for. A guinea pig. Paid 60 bux for it now that I cleaned it up I see it is 2011 compliant. I actually thought it was older Guy had popped the spring. Never cleaned the muffler screen or the saw. Now It runs great and is a perfect little trainer

The Stihl control system (on/off, throttle lock, kill switch) works fine until it gets forced by an operator who doesn't follow the required sequence in its use. Once forced, the control is usually out of kilter from bent, loosened or broken components. The Husqvarna system is simpler and less likely to get fouled up by the new operator on the job.
