this is NOT a great how to video on maintaining a saw chain. a better way you say? i think not i can free hand better than him he is "atrocious" and shouldn't be allowed around saws.

I used to watch a few of his video and liked them, but the ranting got old after a while for me. He has done some good axe reviews but the majority drift off to politics or some other subjects that are irrelevant to the video.

Did you comment on his video. To try and teach the guy what he is doing wrong? Seems that would better then poking at him on a forum where he is not a member.

He has been around you tube for a while and definately is not joking
If given the chance I would call him on that BS sharpening and make him cut wood with that chain he ruined!

sounds like more than a few on here,,,they hate truth........esp in one forum...
I always file by hand I always get them really sharp unless the chain was rocked. I dont think that stupid grinder can do anything.

People bring lots of chains to me someone "sharpened" and they left no gullet,

I honestly believe if he knew how to adjust it...or if it's even able to be lowered down some it looks like it would do a decent job.
He'd fit right in here. Is that what your saying?
You want some frustration, watch some of his chainsaw milling.
Should be good for at least one point increase in blood pressure.

Hand filing is how I get it done too, but there are some around that use the little rotozip like grinder with diamond bits that say they do work pretty decently.
I dont understand how they aint heating the cutter too much, but I guess a light touch could go a long way with them
