Timberjack 460 transmission

What is the proper way to check the transmission fluid in a timberjack 460? Is it like a truck or no? Also what is the proper fluid to use?

If its like any other, trans up to normal operating temp, check in neutral while running (on level ground).
Check the manual for the fluid, I don't know.
