I have been cutting some Tulip Poplar boards for siding and I am looking for some other soft wood logs to cut framing for a small shed. Yes I am running the hell out of the saw but it seems to be cutting fairly well with Carlton ripping chain in 3/8. I think I may be cutting at 1 inch every 1 to 1.5 seconds? Anybody got an opinion on cut rate times? I have done some of this before several years back but am not super experienced.

It is working well as long as you get your guide set up perfectly flat and square. One problem i have had is the extended bar nuts seem to be fairly soft every time I have taken them off they have some small amount of metal shaving on the threads and progressing damage to the threads in the middle. The outside bar nuts spin on freely with one finger so no cross threading and the lead threads are fine.
