vids - editing/compressing for posting

    anyone have any advice on how to post vids? the format mine are in are mpeg but the file size is about 1gb which i'd like to get smaller if possible.
    Also probably need a site to host it - recommendations?

    Yes, I have lots of advice.

    MPG sucks for starters on the internet.

    WMV I find is the most user friendly and will run in at 5mb per minute on average.

    You need to have those videos hosted on a server, max file upload here wont be much, maybe 2mb or 3mb etc so you need to visit YouTube etc.

    You need to compress to H.264 standards. It will bring a 1gb vid down to 20-30mb.
