Hi guys

Got to love all the things you find on a old ranch. Found this Chainsaw mill. my friend said " here take it and see if you like it".

I made a "home made mill" so had holes in my old bar.

It has rollers and measurements on the vertical posts. looks to be manufactured product.

just wondering what if anyone knows anything about them or brand?

Seems like the first models of "la gruminette" a French csm. I wouldn't trust those rollers to give me a flat surface...

They're probably more sensitive to debris/dust on the top of the log since they wouldn't scrape it away in use and the dust might stick to the rollers.

Clean up good between passes and I don't think they'd have any negatives.

Jim is right,
I've found on my first mill that a good cleanup could not be enough on some softwoods and pines, the dust of my cuts used to build waves under the rollers.
At least for me rollers became a no-no, but for big trees or maybe fresher ones with an aux oiler or water cooler it can be a bit easier than a flat square.

Well that's always the same thing I guess: personal tastes.

Stil haven't giving it a try. Been getting the snowmobile ready for winter.
I'll let you know how it works
