ah apologize my poor review,, tho it was 6 30am & im no culinary guide, here's sumthin more erudite
I would say that kangaroo tastes like a cross between venison and buffalo meat. It has a wonderful gamey taste that adds a lot of flavor without being overpowering… perhaps because roos live in the wild and feed on grass and shrubs. The texture of the meat is not quite as dry as deer but it’s leaner than buffalo.
Great article, I'm intrigued!
Did up some wild rice bratwurst and smoked polish sausage in the air fryer tonight. Excellent as usual.
Stuff is really getting pricey though. 6 WR brats were over 9 bucks. Granted they were big but it's amazing how expensive meat has gotten.
Baked Tasmanian salmon fillets baked potatoes and cabbage steaks http://dinnerthendessert.com/crispy-roasted-cabbage-steaks/
I was over at the Ft Dix base commissary today in NJ and i noticed it there too, beef was up, but pork was up a good bit more. Its still cheaper than on the local economy. They sell these Beef rib fingers, mmmmm basically rib meat strips for $1.87/lb and let me tell ya, far better than any NY Strip steak. I cook them seasoned with some spices and low sodium soy sauce, grilled until done with a side of grits and steamed carrots..... loosen that belt!
Southern shrimp and grits with okra
I'll be right down! that looks awesome!
I've experimented with grits a bit. The more good stuff you add to them, the better they taste.
I put butter and bacon salt on instant grits and they are down right delicious.
Throw some cheese in there next time
Cheese grits can not be beat IMO!
Meatball sandwiches and a salad
Marinated venison tacos, cheesy rice, cheesy broccoli, steamed asparagus, and lettuce salad.
Baked Madeira chicken, black beans and rice and a salad
15 bean soup, tossed in about 3/4 lb of chopped kale.... mmmmm good and tooty.
