I have an over abundance of White Alder on my property that I typically just use as firewood, but was wondering if it would have any use indoors after being milled? I know locally everyone considers it garbage wood but I was just curious if anyone had different opinions.

40 years ago at S. Umpqua River's Milo Academy (7th-day Adventist) they used locally-sourced alder for their furniture factory; it was very nice stuff.

Thank you for the reply. I did a bunch of research and it seems Alder is a very common indoor use wood that accepts stains easily so I think I am going to mill some up and build a new bathroom vanity with it and see how it comes out.
