Jeremy, I finally was able to put that 660 in some wood worthy of it. We had a nasty straight-line wind event on July 4, and a bunch of my handyman/property maintenance clients lost some fairly big trees.
Put the 8-pin rim on with a new touched up RSC chain on a 25-inch ES bar, and laid that sucker to some 24-28 inch black ash, which is about as hard a wood as we get up here.
Golly, but that saw is a screamer and a puller. I was cutting with the 026 and 034S to do a bunch of limbing before I bucked up the blown down ash trees. That didn't bring anyone over. But as soon as I fired up the 660, the throaty beller of the hungriest bull in the woods brought the neighbors on the run!
Nice to put on a show once in awhile.
Yeah, there are no pics. I was cutting alone today. My helper came down with a wicked case of the 3.2 flu. :msp_ohmy:
Anyway, just wanted to post a shout-out to Jeremy, who we all know doesn't do porting work.
