Everywhere looks like that around me. Have some easy blowdowns to scavenge. Even just a few hundred yards from pavement, it will take a few rainless weeks before I will attempt to get to them.

We could use that rain here. Lot of forest fires right now. One not too far from here has burned over 8000 acres and a number of homes.

And here conditions in my wooding area have dried out so I can get into it but the temps are running in mid/hi 80s and into the 90s in a few days. Getting some wood out by starting early and quitting about 10 am.

From the looks of that tree, I don't think the Truckster would have fared well.

Very wet spring and early summer here
In northern Pennsylvania.. Rain rain and more rain

At least you have an Oak out of it so far. I recently got two oaks from blowdowns from a storm in April (water and red oak).

I've got more rain run-off flowing through my draws than we did from the snow melt.

The ground's too soft to skid on where there isn't standing water.

Very wet spring here.
