My biggest issue is dealing with the splitting time and such
the loaded logs 18 foot is more my style. I have to keep
climbing and using my bucket! The fuel would eat up a
great deal of profit but if I decide to cut I will pm you
to see if you are interested! I may have to load the trailer
and haul it in 15' logs, instead of the fuel eating grapple!

I understand, and I see your POV. I could probably give you a good price on the 15 foot logs, and a hell of a good pancake/homemade sausage breakfast. Anytime you need some muscle, I can help too.

Think about this BBQ wood supply, I think it's got real potential.

Mentioning woods for smoking, is osage orange (A/K/A several other names)common here in Texas? A fellow AS member from Kansas gave me some when he was working here in Houston. Pretty tasty stuff, I must say.

It's official...

My wife and I have made the move to Amarillo and have just started work. I will be on the look-out for wood and space to stack it as we are renting in town at the moment (that is a very tough compromise given our 11-acres previously and the 5,000-acre land area I managed).

With the price of fuel, I'm gonna need to put a pencil to travelling great distances for wood. Maybe I can justify it just to use the saws.
