Looking to get started in South Florida

I have been around these boards for a while absorbing everything that I can but have until now never posted anything. I am currently working as a store manager for a large retailer but have been wanting to start up my own tree service company for a while. I have been absorbing everything like a sponge and reading up on everything that I can find but have come to the realization that experience will probably teach me a hundred times more.

I am looking for an company in the south florida area where I could work on my days off to learn the ins and out of the biz. I am a quick learner and just need an experienced arborist to take me under his wing for a while. I was hoping that maybe somebody here could at least point me in the right direction.

    To whom:
The aftermath of the last storm has depleted all cash reserves, all discretionary income, property taxes on the rise here and the insurance premiums skyrocketing have made people wary of trimming a tree the next storm will just blow over anyway. Been here since 1964. Been cutting for myself since 1988. Have never ever seen it this slow.
In the Ft Laud area, check the want ads; there are none!We ran an ad a couple months ago. We got about forty five calls a day. Certified climbers with CDL's. That's sad.
