Yep just keep pounding on it. It eventually gives up and splits.
Sorry, I have to have my son teach me more on how to use my computer.

Been there. Learned that splitting lengthwise to the Y, it is possible to split the pieces easily.

ha....i get them when using the log splitter. they become more of a challenge to see if i can split them nice.
some do...others seem to disintegrate into small pieces.

Don't try to split them. Those gnarly pieces, if left on top, act as excellent left-handed rain shifters.
