He complains about being shorted 8 cu. ft and expects to have an additional 32 cu ft (25% of one cord) delivered free to keep him happy.

Do you really need to ask?

"I BOUGHT SOME FROM A SIGN ON THE POLE"
Around these parts someone puts up signs on poles selling matresses. Ive always felt if you call that guy theres something wrong with you. Anybody that advertises on a pole is probably questionable. So if he bought from a sign on a pole he for sure has a problem. We all should respond to him and he wouldnt know what to do.
I enjoy working alone, especially when I'm all by myself.

I'd sell him 160 cu ft for $250. That's alot better than the going rate around here.......

    Run, do not walk away.

These guys are never satisfied. Even if he accepts the amount delivered as a cord, he'll be on the phone complaining about how it's not seasoned or every piece being either too long or not split small enough.

Find another customer, or sit on the wood for another couple months and sell it for a premium when the supply of seasoned has dried up.

I BOUGHT 2 CORDS & AFTER TRIMMING ALL THE BARK & CUTTING IT SQUARE TO STACK TIGHT, IT WAS SHORTER THAN THE STACKED WOOD I BOUGHT !
THE I WANT A FULL CORD OF WOOD & SOMEBODY TO SUPPLY EVERY YEAR & IF I STACK UP & IT`S LESS YOU BETTER COME BACK & GIVE ME MORE OR YOU WILL BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS

Second ad, same guy. He wants to buy from me next year. I think I'll be conveniently "sold out".

Have some fun with the guy, bring him a bunge cord and then explain to him you thought he was looking for a "cord for wood, not a cord of wood"
