Gross profit is $110 per cord, but how much would he net? IDK......

    And delivery is extra.

This guy sold his farm circa 20 years ago, and supposedly got over a million for it. He was set for life at 45, but he works harder than anyone else I know. He has the wood business, two John Deeres blowing snow in the winter, two zeroturn deere mowers plus one of the tractors cutting grass all summer, a christmas tree farm plus he owns at least two apartment buildings.

WTF.........how much do you need anyway? Gotta admire him though.
Maybe it's not how much does he need, it's a matter of some people don't know how to not work. And besides, maybe he his thought process is something like, "What else am I going to do with my time?" He's probably going to have quite a chunk of change and assets to leave to his family at some point.

I think the guy that gave it to me said it was a 36 inch saw.
I have know way to know. It looks like the blade part sticks out about 18.5" past the yellow part

I don't have more than a business relationship with the man, but from what he tells me I think he's doing okay. The business is family owned and operated. "No high dollar labor." Because of this, when times get tough they can still make ends meet. It appears to me as if the man really enjoys what he does, and is well diversified. Firewood, milling, and logging. If he wants or needs more money, he just cuts more wood.....

That brought a tear to my eye! Maybe there should be a "show your pile" thread. but with my measly 50-cord pile so far I want to post mine somewhere in the middle.

Well, he can cut all he wants; the money comes from selling it!
