It looks like a decent setup. I wouldn't want to use it without the log lift though unless you have small rounds to split.

    Is this user MGA?

I read the reply's on the video and one addresses the valve lever position. The user states that he would put it there again, but I don't know. That seems like a pretty fair reach for every stroke of the cylinder.

That is interesting and I think I actually like it. Right on that it would be nice for big rounds. Smaller stuff might be a pain but it would surely get the job done. I sent the link to my brother to see what he thinks.

Here's some pics of the splitter that I have. My brother built it for one of his classes in college. Can't give you all of the specs because I just don't know. 13 hp Honda, 2 speed pump. Haven't come across anything yet that it won't split. He made a few mods after these pics were taken. The rails are gone and the pieces would get hung up and the horizontal wedges are gone as well as they would pinch the bottom half of the log against the beam.

    Ever heard of powersplit?

I like it, reminds me of the powersplit units.

Wow! That's nice... I'd be a little concerned working in such close quarters with someone else, especially with those hooks but that's a serious splitter there.
