Why? Because I know too many people with 'chainsaw' stories.
Mechanical type guy. Jack of all trades, master of none.
All of this to feed my 1980 model 'Little Buck' wood stove.
I like the spikes used to square the stack.I need to do something like that some day.I was out there stacking today also.No choice because if I don't stack what I have split there's no room for me to get to splitting whats bucked up from my last haul.I have more room in the yard just don't want to destroy the entire lawn.
Great Pile Whitespider. May I ask how you get the pics to show inthe thread like they do? I am having a bit of a tough time figuring out how to do it that way.

Yeah, you bet he's tired. As I was cutting he was tossing or rolling all the rounds into piles, and as I was splitting he threw near every split into the trailer. When we were stacking he'd climb into the trailer and throw a split out, climb back out and put it on the stack. When the stacks got too tall, and the trailer got about half empty, he'd stand in the trailer and hand me the splits. That little trooper put in two and half hard days with me. The wife says it sure makes him sleep good.
Not sure how he feels... but I took July and August off from the firewood work and I'm paying for it... sore muscles, swollen joints and shaky limbs. Couple more weekends and I should be right back in shape though.
and better lookin splits!
And if you work that boy any harder when he's a teenager he's a gonna accidentally drop a big one on your truck...just sayin HAHAHAHAHA
