    Buck 2700 insert blower problems

I have a Buck 27000 insert that i cant keep the thermostat working correctly.
It is the one with three speeds that i have relocated to the front right side by Bucks instructions.
I am on the second thermostat unit in 3 to 4 years. each one lasted more than 1 1/2 seasons.
They will goto the top speed correctly but will not back down. If you flip the manual switch on fro 5 minutes or so it will then shift down. Talked to buck who said the unit was probably bad.

The insert heats my house great and saves my a ton of money but,
I dont want to keep paying $80 to $90 ever other season.

Anyone have the same problem?? Any ideas?? conversions??
Thanks very much for your help!!!

WOW just checked up on what you're talking about and man 90 bones for that little thing!!!!!

looks like the kinda speedswitch in a cars blower motor that go like candy.

If one was nerdy enough im sure you could johnny 5 one of those things for 10 bucks at the radio shack

Not a expert on your motor you got but what would happen if you just put a variable speed control on it??
