Like what has been said many many times here on AS
Once you run a modified saw you'll never go back to a stock chain saw ever again !
Some people need thick skin
Those that declare that they (029/290) won't hold up bc of the lack of pro design
are merely ill-informed or are ignorant.
It doen't look good to anyone else I guess, except maybe for a few "brand fans".
Ahh, it was just some rain by the time it got to us, but it looked impressive al contained in PA. I'm going to have to cut in the wet tomorrow - i don't have any more chains to sharpen!
It's dry here. Corn is up about 10"-12" but it's curling and turning blue.
I can't believe I got no rain from that storm. It has been over three weeks since I have even seen a drop of rain. It looks brown, like late August around here.
I could use some of that rain here, all three ponds are down to the late July level already!
Never turn your back on your friends or your enemies
Well over 6 inches of rain here since Wednesday night. And over 12 inches the month of May. We are no longer considered in drought conditions as we had been since last spring.

From Gologit:
That tree didn't get cut down...it fell over in shame and embarrassment.
And here we go again! Heck of an impressive front on the radar map. Got the diversions all set up and made sure the pipes are clear, now just sitting on the porch with a beer. I stood out in the field as the leading edge of the front came through and it was gorgeous. Hopefully I can run up to the barn during a lull and do some work on my saw project later - starting to get some of the parts in.
Wish we could send some out west......
We'd take it...![]()

Had a storm come thru early today. Radar showed some nice reds and yellows of course it peters out when it gets to my area only a tenth to a quarter of a inch. At least it rained some.
This is just nuts. Friday night it rained so hard for so long - totally blew through all the diversions and washed out the lane. I was out at 9 Saturday morning shoveling gravel off the lawn, then dragging the lane with the box blade. My neighbor and I worked on it most of the day.
In one of the storms last week a hung-up 16" red oak that had partially gone over last Halloween got blown out of the tree it was hung in, so I thought I might get that bucked up. Just got started when the sky opened up. After that ended I went back and finished it, but then had to go to a graduation party. Of course it rained so hard there, with lightening too. I still haven't moved all the oak out of my field, and now I probably won't be able to get any equipment back there for months. I'm going to have to split it in place with muck boots on and haul it to the tree line by hand.

Quit bogarting the rain others could use a hit too.
Here in southwest MO, I've seen both extremes seems all to many times... I understand watching your corn and beans wither and fail in 100+ temps and a month without rain.... I've seen crops drown too... And I've had hay get hosed as many as 5 times to the point you just have to chop it and blow it back on the ground, too black to be of any use...
Not sure I know which one I prefer... Or hate the most... All you can do is limit your liability, and roll with the punches...
They can be pretty hard around here...![]()
