    Question Price per cord

What is a cord of dry firewood going for in your area?

Here in northern California Doug Fur is $185, Tan Oak runs about $225, and Madrone $250.

Full cord seasoned mixed hardwood $250-$275 delivered. Green around $175-$200. No one really sells softwood here(Upstate NY-Adirondaks) by the cord for heating.

Here in central NJ, and the easternmost part of central PA, a cord of seasoned mixed hardwoods is going for $190-$200 delivered. Pretty much everyone in the classifieds is in that range, though there is one guy selling "seasoned apple" for $225/cord.

I'm average price here is St. Louis. I get $300 a cord (true cord 3 ranks of 16inch) delivered and stacked. I give away all my soft wood to friends and family. I get the soft stuff from tree trimming and can't really sell it. I buy about 30 cords a year for $120 a cord. I have to drive around 30 miles to get it. I haul 3 cords at a time home.

Man I wish you were closer to me(15 min north of albany) cuz that beats the prices up here..... I usually buy green but there always seems to be a reason i need an extra cord or two seasoned.

    San Francisco Bay Area:

    Almond: $300/cord
    Oak: $350-400/cord

dumped in your driveway. And these are the better prices. I've seen oak listed for $500/cord.

Add about another $ 50-75 for the Santa Rosa wine country & ClearLake area. $400-500 for oak in the Bay Area. That is a dumped pricing
