    Gas powered wheelbarrow

    Can anyone identify the donor piece of equipment the engine and drive wheel came from?

    This was built for my father in the 70's. All i can remember is that it might have been from a tiller.

    It had (I believe) worm gear drive that would use engine compression to slow it down when the clutch was engaged. That was essential on the trip down the hill.

    It was built to haul our gear uphill to a cabin from the lake. I never was able to bog it down. If you could lift the load, it would pull it at a medium walking pace.

    that looks pretty cool. i can't identify it, but it does look like an old tiller motor. i wouldn't mind to have one of those myself.

    Inquire at the garden tractor site on smokstak, those guys will tell you everything except the serial number, My guess would be choremaster walk behind one wheel tractor.
    If you learn from mistakes I should be a genius pretty soon.

    I think your guess is right. I did a search on that site and found some pictures that match up to the pictures I have.

    That thing was definately a master of chores. We could lay big propane tanks across the sideboards and wheel it on up to the cabin. I think the elevation change from dock to cabin was 50 ft in 50 yds.

    The gearing was incredible. it seemed like it was made for that application.
