Well certainly Sterling is no shang ri la, but there are efforts to clean it up. As far as sprawl goes, there isn't to much any more now that there is no more money to build. It works out for me because it's proximity to great falls, vienna, ashburn etc for buiseness. My saw shop is 30 min. west from where I live and is in a nice secluded spot.
You know the hell of it all? The one I prolly love using the most--the LN dovetail saw. 'Running' one of those is a good lesson in life. If you grip it like you're trying to kill the wood with it...it won't even move. Can't get it to budge. But the instant you RELAX your grip with it...you're plowing the earth. Let it do the work...you're off to the races. Try to force it to your will...you can't even start the kerf.
There's a lesson about chicks in there somewhere...I just don't have it yet.
