I'm looking for a thread posted a while back and seeking assistance either locating the tread, or hearing from members who've converted Husqvarna 550XP and 562XP saws back to a conventional carburettor.
I presently have (2) 562XP saws that are dead with a highly annoyed owner who spent good money on the saws and that are now out of warranty and he's looking for options (other than "remodelling" the saws with a 12 gauge).
One saw was returned to Husqvarna 3 times under warranty, the other was returned once under warranty. On all such occasions it appears from the Husky repair dockets the AO chip had simply burnt out.
He simply refuses to pay another cent on the saws to have what he believes is the same issue resolved. Bottom line he asked if I could convert these back to a normal (non computerised) saw. Hence the reason I'm attempting to find the thread where a few guys have already done this
