Here's what I'm talking about.

Excuse the bad video. Don't have a bar and chain yet so it's a little harder for me to get a perfect idle. Don't know whether the clutch is functioning properly either.

Repaired tank vent. Had a spare with all the parts I have. I pressure tested the tank acording to the manual. It passed.

Fixed my timing issue. Pulls over way easier now LOL

I believe it may be the carb. All my linkage is working as it should and returning back as it should.

I'll have too.

Interesting how I'm getting vac and pressure holding no problem though. Even while I'm turning the saw over.

I installed brand new bearings and the crank was moving freely.

This is husqvarna seal pullers there is another one I don't have

I checked my seals with soapy water while on pressure... nothing leaking acording to my tester

I'm not saying it isn't leaking but I have tested it 3 times and fixed the air leak in the base gasket. After that it's been solid.

Just did. Sprayed corner of gasket and revd up. So definitely have a leak either on the base gasket or seal on flywheel side

Thanks a lot fellas.

I think it's the gasket. I'll have to try mounting the gasket with a sealant and use loctite on the bolts and see what happens.

I don't think it is the gasket now. Got everything stripped down again for pressure/vac test. Wasn't budging at all. I sprayed soapy water around the gasket and nothing. I used a new gasket originally but made my own gasket (with proper gasket material)

Must be the seal holder ffs. Hate taking the flywheel off LOL

The Husky flywheel puller is worth its weight in gold! Goes from being a major chore to a walk in the park.

I put in several new seals on the flywheel side and did have one fail but it was not the seal, it was the o-ring. The o-ring was new so I don't know what was its problem. I cleaned it up again, applied silicone grease and it was fine. That was the only saw in my signature that passed a pressure test but failed a vacuum test. Normally if they fail, they fail the pressure test (thankfully).

Held pressure for 10 mins without budging.

Held vacuum for 10 mins without budging

Pulled over while testing and nothing.... so can someone explain how it's leaking while running? Or possible explanation

I don't know if when you rebuilt the saw that you removed the black plastic piece beneath the flywheel that serves as 1/2 of the air guide. The two flat head screws that hold this actually enter the crankcase so if you don't loctite those, they can leak too.

Will check that for sure! Thanks for that

I thought the same thing about the carb gaskets. But brand new gaskets and when sprayed the carb cleaner it was by the front of the cylinder.

So I'm gonna go through all the bolts through the crankcase and put some loctite on them. I'll try again after that
