Ive used way more huskies than I have stihls, and in the larger saws, pound for pound, I still prefer a husky. HOWEVER, with that said, when it comes to the smaller saws, stihl is normally the better choice and that 034 is a DANDY! Ive got 1 here that Ive had to go through from the crankshaft up simply because it was a saw that got crushed and I wanted to do it right while I was doing it and the little devil is a SCREAMER! If I were in your shoes I would gladly trade with the guy! The 034 is built a lot tougher than the small husky is and will outcut it.

Surprised to hear he's willing to trade as the 034 is much more saw, almost 20 more CC.....I've owned both.
I modded my 440 and tuned, does well and light.

Yeah I’m probably just going to keep the 440 and buy the 034 no there’s nothing wrong with the Husky was just trying to get a bigger Saw with a little more ass to it ,but you’re right it’s good to have a back up I knew the Husky runs and runs well just don’t have much motor to it. It’s just a hike to get the 034 probably be this weekend But I want to do a compression test on it just to make sure it’s all good before the deal is sealed
