Okay. be right backmaybe cherry? doesn't quite look right...get a closer/clear pic of the bark.
The bark almost looks like old sycamore bark, but the white bark would be very obvious higher up and the leaves are nowhere near right.
Not sure on the trees or the dog. I can usually tell by the bark.Another pair of large trees on the back fence row.
There's a small maple growing in front of them.
No low branches, couldn't get a good close up of the leaves, but they appear to be roundish? Maybe cottonwood?
Any ideas what this is? Is the one next to it the same?
Thanks

Middle Tennessee...What region are you in?
I just googled hackberry - that definitely looks like mine. The small one in front is Hackberry and I think the big one is Cherry.
Big one is Cherry. The small one in front is Hackberry and I think the big one is Cherry.
Really? Where? I know that one from my Chinese tonic herbs. It also has a Reishi mushroom growing on it.
I'm going to measure it with a tape tomorrow. I came across an article where some family who has a farm won a $500 prize for having the biggest Cherry in a contest. I can't find the article now, but I think it said it was 227".Looks like you have both trees identified. That’s a Big cherry.
To the right of the word mine. But on further inspection it now looks like the broken limb you mentioned. Reishi is real good with Cordyceps. You use Reishi?Really? Where? I know that one from my Chinese tonic herbs.
You talking about in the crotch? That's the butt end of a broken limb.
