You don't see the difference between selling a part for an obsolete vehicle last made in the late 80's to copying a complete saw? Many of these saws are still being sold by the company that designed them to the global market. 372, 288 being two examples.
Farmertec doesn’t make anything, they assemble parts from various sources. So I would be wrong to build a 72 Chevy stepsides with all after market parts because it’s stealing?

Not saying their the same but still is manufacturing in China Especially their homeowner saws. I haven’t hat an issue with the top ends i put in still ts350 concrete saws(6 of them) my coustomer was happy not spending $160 on kits for saws he payed $25 for at auction. their now rental saws so I’m sure sooner or later they will come back after being straight gassed. Idk anywhere but farmertec to get a 070 for $360 be it clone or not
I use them myself when a customer doesn't want to spend more than the saw is worth on a rebuild kit. The last Husky top end cost me $21 with free shipping, doubt you could touch an OEM for four times that..

I figured on a concrete saw they would last as long as a OEM cylinder they suck in a lot of their own dust.

Bravo! You have a garage full of **** now. Plus it must feel nice aiding and abetting communist trash.
Ok. That might have been quiet spicy and hurtful. Forgive me for laughing BUT I found it also funny as hell. My wicked sense of humor. I know. My dad a ww2 vet crazy as a loon would go off with spicy over cooked statements every day. One time he jumped up and began beating the perro caca out of me. Im like 12. He finally stopped beating and asked WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING? Still laughing I replied, I can't help it you are so funny. It was not a ploy. I was serious but he got his brain back in his head. I can even imagine the pissed off look on your face. That's funny. But Then I watch Family Guy. Ha. Ha.

I quit working on them because of all the cleanup involved. Nobody around here cleans the concrete saws after use and most don't mess with the air filter either, in short time even the newer ones are junk..

It's not the user that's stealing it's the people who copied the item and built new ones to match, ignoring patents. The buyer, if anything, is abetting the copier by buying illegal copies.

The biggest issue with the ts350 or ts360 is the coil inside the flywheel this Collects the dust so much it eventually creates marbles of the dust that grind away at the coil. The newer saws don’t have that issue.

Might be worth reviewing the original poster's reason for the purchase and also noting that he is after the genuine (as labeled) item in this case and is in discussion with the original parts manufacturer (not to mention that it is just a simple replacement part that numerous companies other than the original saw manufacturer make anyway).

OP: "I'm in Australia so it was the cheapest way to get some, shipping from Wolf Creek or anywhere else USA is usually prohibitive. Pre covid there were a couple European ebay Caber sellers but they've disappeared."

Ultimately it wouldn't be a topic at all if shipping from the US hadn't gone nuts recently. The prices are becoming extreme (not to mention the numerous US sellers who refuse to even reply to you if you are not from the US). Convenient supply of OEM parts does not always exists in many regions of Australia.

It is an interesting topic, but the thread is being killed (they may be real, or Caber has been alerted). The pointless debates don't achieve anything.

Mostly homeowner saws and the trimmers coming from China stihl plants. Havent seen a pro grade yet from there.

Heck even our Va Beach ones say made with Foreign and Domestic parts.

How old is that MS250? I'll have to check mine but if I remember correctly it doesn't say china anywhere on the label. New ones I've got on the floor say "Manufactured by Stihl Inc USA".
