Ice storm took these White Oak down in Jan 2007. Cut tops
up this morning. Most cutting was done with 361 and 180

Going to try to start mill the bigger log next week end. Have
a 3 day week end :biggrinbounce2:

Done a little playing later in the day. Just counting seconds
in my head and 3 cuts per saw, 14" dia. 066 & 440 Stihl RS .375 chain
361 Stihl 9T RSC .325 chain :cheers: , 260 Stihl PM picco, 180 had to sit this one out ;)

066 = 5 seconds
440 = 7 "
361 = 9 "
260 = 11 "

Well to tell the truth...........Had the 361 pinched twice and 440 once :help:

The tops where a wadded up mess, 2 White Oaks and 1 Mulberry tree.
some cuts had me nerves, lot of limbs in tension.

Geeze, Gary. You start a post about cutting up some oak, then turn it into "Saw Pron"...not that I minded.

I was less depressed when you said you were going to mill the big log. Too nice for firewood.

Yeah man, that looks like a lot more fun then I had yesterday, I had to go to work and spend the day inside. Those are some monster trees to be brought down by an ice storm. We got lucky down here, in that we got mostly rain during that storm, but I do remember watching the Springfield news on how bad it was up there.
Great lineup of saws BTW! Looks like you had an enjoyable day.
