One of my 026s has a bad oil leak, right through the case gasket---looks and smells like someone used old motor oil in it....... Other wise it runs great. So....after a little conference with Brad C., he sold me a hedget rimmer attachment, the now discontinued HS242! I finally got it together today. Here are pics:

(Not nearly as exciting as the GTG in Ohio today, but stihl fun................).

A couple of eye candy pics...............

When do they reproduce on their own, Ultra?:greenchainsaw:

Oh man, you ARE pathetic!

Where do I get one? For that matter ALL of them.

You live in...Kansas, right?

FYI: Just remember, it's pronounced 'can-SAW.' "Why?" You may ask? Because Arkansas (pronounced ar-can-SAW) was a state first. (NOT ar-CAN-Sas)

Just wanted to go on that little rabbit trail to clear that up.

No extra charge.

Hey Jason, we hafta show our stuperiority by not stooping to SlingBlade's level.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH:hmm3grin2orange:

Actually, Arkansas has rock climbing, and Kansas pronounces the S at the end of its name. Which fact yields more enjoyment? :monkey:

Did I say something wrong? I had no idea I would strike such a nerve. ;)

Sling-Blade? Ouch! You guys go right for the jugular. Surely, it doesn't get worse? I'm afraid to ask.

Just remember the Indian (or was it the humble French?) spelling is 'Arkansas'
and it WAS a state first.

You see, so many people call my lovely home state Ar-Kansas, that I just couldn't resist to set the record straight.

So, IF Arkansas was a STATE first, then shouldn't Kansas be called KanSAW and not the other way around?

wheeeee...

Thats the beauty of it, Yasha, we are 2 different states. Its the spelling that messes people up.

So what if we have the best basketball team? I can jump all of six inches....they didnt want me on the team........do they gawt tee-vees down there in that there Ar-kin-saw? I could watch them games on a tee-vee down there in that there Ar-kin-saw jest as easy as I coud in Kansas...mmm-hmmm.

Mmmm-hmmmm.....I been studyin' sum on movin' down there to that Jasper, we did sum climbin' down to that there Horseshoe Canyon there mmmm-hmmmm.

:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :help: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :crazy1:

Slingblade is one of my all-time favorite movies.. Every time I watch it I walk around "Mmmm-hmmm. I wuz thinkin I might could use about 6 or 8 more tins o' that there potted meat, if'n ye had any extree."

Just havin' some fun at my own expense, Yasha....

Oh by the way, from the pics you have a wonderful family. I am very happy for you. Mmmm-hmmm!

It works pretty well. It is a bit heavy. With the power of the 026, the cutting bar could be twice as long, and it wood do the entire top of the hedge in one pass. I had sum trouble regulating rpms, trying to give the saw some full throttle time, but too great a speed makes it cut less efficiently. I think a dedicated hedge trimmer wood proly work a bit better. But, it is a really cool device, and it gives me a use for an oil-leaker whch I wood have to split oen otherwise.........I did lean out the H screw 1/8 turn, cause the load is less on the engine. I wish it hadda 3 foot bar, then it wood be a super machine!

I been studyin' on that there project fer some time, mmm-hmmm....:greenchainsaw:

This attachment used to be popular around here with farmers who have to cut thicker hedges around their pastures.... but if you swing that thing around for an hour or so, I bet you'll rush off to the dealer to get a lightweight hedge trimmer...:chainsawguy:

No prob. I started it and knew, with your stellar personality, that we'd have fun with it. Being in the military, we'd always tease that way. Maybe that's why I feel so right at home here.

Thank you kindly.

FYI: I lived in Kansas back in the 80's for a few months. I had a nice time.

AND did you know that YOUR minor league baseball team from Wichita, which is a KC Royals affiliate, moved into my town in Arkansas?

They are now called the NW Arkansas (that's ar-kan-saw) Naturals.

Sorry Belgian, but I had a laugh at your expense! Pastries is the plural of pastry which are sweet baked goods like a sweet roll. We also call them danish or danishes. The possibilities are endless!
I'm sure you probably meant pastures. The best I can do is Auf deutch: Gebäck oder Bonbonrollen. However, I might be murdering the German translation since it's been a while since I've had to use it. I know German is not your native language but, I thought it may be close.
