beech tree problem

these pictures come from the wood where i hunt. there is what looks like mold on the trunk, leaves, branches, etc. this is only happening to the beeches and not all of them just some.

Might not have the right term for this,but it's a type of fungus/disease that only beeches get.I have quite a few beech on my property,and my forester says that some of the beech are more resilliant to it than others.It takes a long time to kill the tree,and can spread to other trees nearby.She recommended cutting some of the trees that seem to have it more than others.Hope that helped.
