    I always like to watch the weather data from the NOAA bouys in the path of hurricanes. Here is the wind speed graph as off 11:26 cdt on one of the oil rigs in Ida's path. Me thinks anyone around that oil rig in a boat is in for a wild ride!

    Oh and here is the linky dink to the station. You can click on the graphs youself and get all kinds of cool graphs. Watching the barometric pressure is also rather interesting.

    I found wave height at a nearby bouy. Yee-haw that bouy is going for a ride!

    almost 26 foot waves.....i'd be hanging over the side of the boat losing lunch if i was in them.

    too bad they don't have oil rig cams in the gulf....that would be cool to watch a storm live.
